FIU Nurse Anesthetist Program (MSN-CRNA)

The Nurse Anesthetist Program is a clinical specialty track within the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs at here at the Florida International University Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences. It is a challenging and rewarding academic and clinical undertaking consisting of a seven (7) semester continuous program of full time graduate study. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the National Certification Examination to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) as well as apply for the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) credential with a specialization as a nurse anesthetist from the Florida Board of Nursing.

The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program that is presently open to clinical advanced practice nurses (NPs, CRNAs, CNMs) who currently hold a master’s degree in their clinical specialty. For additional information, please visit the DNP site. The Nurse Anesthetist Program is in the design and development stage of starting a direct-entry DNP degree route.
