About our Students


 

  • The FIU Athletic Training Program is a diverse program that successfully attracts students from minority and under-represented populations from across the country and abroad.
  • The FIU Athletic Training Program has a high first-time pass rate on the Board of Certification exam. The classes of 2011, 2012, and 2013 have a 100% first-time pass rate.
  • Graduates have secured employment in a variety of settings including UHZ Sports Medicine Institute, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, professional sports organizations in the U.S. and abroad, and other clinical settings such as Pinecrest Physical Therapy.

FIU Athletic Training Student Organization

The Athletic Training Student Organization strives to raise a conscious awareness of the importance of athletic training and sports medicine in organized sports and in the community. The members of the Athletic Training Student Organization will raise public awareness of athletic training by participating in University activities, community service projects, fundraising, and social events. Iota Tau Alpha – Alpha Kappa Chapter

The Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Education Honor Society is an honor and professional society for students of athletic training. Iota Tau Alpha activities are designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation of athletic training education and practice, as well as, to promote the dissemination of information and new interpretations of the Society’s activities among students of athletic training.
