Employment Rates in Profession

Applicants for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) must successfully pass the Praxis examination in speech-language pathology that is administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS).

The Praxis Examination table shows pass rate data for the previous three testing cycles for graduates of the program. First Time Pass Rate indicates the percentage of students who pass the examination on their first attempt in taking the exam. This is an important measure of program proficiency; thus, graduate students are counseled by faculty relative to when they should take the examination towards the end of graduate study.
