M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology

The Master of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology prepares students to assess and manage speech, language, and swallowing disorders.  Graduates work with people who exhibit communication differences and disorders across the lifespan in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

The program’s unique “bilingual emphasis” prepares graduates to work with the increasing number of bilingual individuals in need of specialized care.  The program of study provides students with the theoretical and clinical education to develop the competencies needed to practice as a speech-language pathologist.  Upon completion of the master’s degree, the graduate will have met all academic and practicum requirements to apply for the certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
