I
am studying at a community college, when should I apply to FIU?
You should submit your application two semesters before you plan to
start at FIU. For example, if you plan to start in the fall, you should
submit your application in the Spring semester. This will allow ample time
to process your application and make arrangements to attend transfer
orientation. Information on transfer orientation can be found at: http://www.fiu.edu/~orient or call 305-348-6414.

Do I have to finish all my prerequisites before I
start the Health Sciences program?
For the pre-Physical Therapy and Health Sciences tracks it is not
necessary to have all your prerequisites done. You can complete any
remaining prerequisites while concurrently starting upper division
courses. For the pre-Occupational Therapy track you must have all
prerequisites complete before starting the program.

Do I need to submit a separate application to the department?
Students applying to the pre-Occupational Therapy track need to
apply to FIU online (www.fiu.edu) AND submit a separate application
directly to the OT department. OT application and application
information can be found at: http://chua2.fiu.edu/ot/Application.htm. Students applying to pre-Physical
Therapy and Health Sciences only need to apply to FIU-no separate
application to the department is necessary.

No, all you need is 60 transferable credits. However, students who
