HOW DO I APPLY TO THE HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (BHSA) PROGRAM?
The only application needed for the HSA program is the general FIU application that is available at the Office of Admissions. http://www.fiu.edu/admissions/index.html

HOW OFTEN ARE STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE BHSA PROGRAM?
Students are accepted into the BHSA program any semester.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE BHSA PROGRAM EACH YEAR?
The HSA program is not limited access. We will accept all students who meet the HSA admission requirements listed below.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE ACCEPTED INTO THE BHSA PROGRAM?

  • Completion of the University Core Curriculum (UCC) or an AA degree from an accredited State of Florida institution
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Completion of the following prerequisites with appropriate grades:

I AM MISSING SOME OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS.  CAN I STILL BE ADMITTED TO FIU?
Yes, you can be admitted to FIU to take any of the missing prerequisites. The prerequisites can also be taken at any of the local community colleges or any regionally accredited institution. 

WHEN ARE CLASSES OFFERED?
Courses are offered primarily in the evening after 5:00 pm. The program is also available Fully Online.

CAN I COMPLETE THE PROGRAM PART-TIME?
Yes, you can take classes part-time or full-time.

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
The program is 60 credits. A full-time student taking 12 credits per semester can expect to finish the program in five semesters. 

ARE INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE?
Yes. The program offers internship opportunities for interested students. 

WHERE CAN I WORK WITH A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION?
The Bachelor of Health Services Administration (BHSA) qualifies graduates for entry-level management positions in health services delivery organizations providing acute and chronic care, rehabilitation and/or health promotion in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, health insurance, nursing homes, home healthcare, rehabilitation and non-profit healthcare, to name a few. 

DOES FIU OFFER A GRADUATE DEGREE IN HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION?
