Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Curriculum Model for Specialty Track in Advanced Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing

Note: A moratorium has been placed on admissions to the Advanced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Track.

This clinical specialty track focuses on advanced nursing practice in the area of adults with psychiatric and/or mental health problems in primary, secondary. And tertiary care settings. Graduates are prepared for traditional roles of the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in a multiethnic environment. Practice sites include community mental health centers, psychiatric clinics, crisis intervention centers, psychiatric hospital units, soup kitchens, and private offices of psychiatrists and/or PMHN nurse practitioners.
