The Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Certificate Tract is built upon a recent Master’s degree in nursing with a clinical nursing major such as adult health nursing, child health nursing, family health nursing, or psychiatric/mental health nursing. Recent equivalent graduate course work may be substituted for required courses.

* NOTE: In addition to graduate tuition and fees, nursing students are charged an additional fee of $105/credit for courses. The additional fee supports clinical instructional costs, a pre-certification review program, and laboratory/technology supplies and costs.
Students are required to submit to state and federal background checks before entry into clinical areas. Clinical agencies may also require drug testing on entry to the agency. Findings in background checks may affect a student's ability to participate in clinical experiences and complete the program. Please click here to review the Florida Statute (effective July 1, 2009) related to the reasons the Florida Board of Nursing shall refuse to issue a license, certificate or registration and shall refuse to admit a candidate for examination.
