IMPORTANT: The VBSN Program is a special project sponsored and partially funded by a grant from the Health Research Services Administration (HRSA) and by FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences which runs through December 2017.
ATTENTION MILITARY MEDICAL VETERANS, RESERVISTS, AND NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERS.
This is a special project partially funded by a grant from the Health Research Services Administration (HRSA) and by FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences. It is designed specifically for recent veterans, current reservists, and national guard members who have prior military medical training and service experience to qualify for advanced standing credit towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and licensure eligibility as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Applicants ideally have previously earned an associate’s degree or higher, and have completed the prerequisite nursing courses with a minimum grade of “C”. Applicants must score a minimum overall score of 70% and a minimum science score of 62% on the TEAS Nurse Entrance Exam. Applicants must satisfy the university core curriculum through prior coursework, credit-by-exam, or degree.

- CREDIT FOR MILITARY TRAINING Curriculum is designed to accelerate graduation and provide credit by examination whenever possible.
