Welcome to Florida International University’s College of Nursing & Health Sciences Research page. CNHS is committed to the vision of scholarly inquiry by promoting, expanding and validating the scientific base of knowledge and practice of the healthcare disciplines through the discovery, organization and transmission of research-based knowledge, skills and values.

Both faculty and students have excellent opportunities to participate in research as part of their CNHS experience. Among our faculty are nationally recognized scholars and scientists, known for their research on high-risk women and children, HIV prevention and care, chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer, depression and caregiving in the elderly, and other areas of investigation. The high caliber of this work is attracting significant funding from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Labor, and Department of Health & Human Services, among others.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ continuing goals are to maintain high standards of quality for all proposals submitted, maintain a distinguished cadre of faculty members whose passion for research is matched by their commitment to excellence, and to support a nurturing environment where both faculty and students can pursue their research goals.
