Advanced Placement – Advanced placement in both nursing and non-nursing courses is facilitated by award of credits through examination for courses i.e., challenge or equivalency exams such as CLEP or Excelsior College examinations, or exemption of credits through skills and written testing designed by the course faculty. VBSN students will be required to either take challenge exams or the following courses prior to entry into the track: Foundations of Nursing Practice (NUR 3029, 3029L, and 3029C) and Health Assessment and Promotion (NUR 3066C).
