Stroke
Stroke is a serious medical condition that occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, leading to a loss of neurological function. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic, which is caused by a blockage in the blood vessels leading to the brain, and hemorrhagic, which is caused by bleeding in the brain. Ischemic stroke is the more common type, accounting for approximately 87% of all stroke cases.
The symptoms of stroke can vary depending on the individual, but they often include sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, difficulty speaking or understanding speech, and loss of vision in one or both eyes. It's important to recognize these symptoms and seek medical attention immediately, as early treatment can greatly improve the chances of recovery.
