The Empowerment Center is a dedicated space for those who are seeking support and healing after experiencing a sexual assault. Our goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care in a safe, confidential environment where survivors can begin their journey towards recovery and control.
Our team of skilled professionals, In partnership with the Global Forensic and Justice Center, offer a range of services from trauma informed care, forensic evidence collection and victim advocacy to provide survivors access to resources available that are designed to start the healing process. Our on-call 24/7 services are available regardless of gender, age or background as everyone deserves access to compassionate and effective support.
Non-reporting options are available.
All victims are entitled to voluntary, confidential services. A non-reporting victim is one who does not authorize reporting the assault to law enforcement, therefore no police or incident report exists. The medical provider will still carry out the complete forensic and medical examination and the evidence will be preserved and maintained in a manner that protects the identity of the victim.
