Accelerated Option (A.O.) BSN



The Accelerated Option BSN program track at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences at FIU is specifically designed for those individuals who are highly motivated to begin a career in nursing and have previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in another field. The ideal applicant is one who is seeking a career change into the exciting and challenging healthcare field and wishes to make a difference in the lives of others.

The A.O. BSN is comprised of three (3) semesters of full-time coursework, along with an intensive mini-semester of fundamentals nursing immediately prior to the start of the program.

Upon completion of the BSN Track, the Accelerated Option graduate is eligible to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN) upon passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
