The Hooding Ceremony is a prestigious event that recognizes the accomplishments of those graduating with doctoral degrees. It symbolizes the passing of the torch from one generation of practitioners to the next and marks the transition from student to professional. The hood, an emblem of the graduate’s degree and honors, represents both academic achievement and the individual's readiness to enter their chosen clinical field. Wolfe University Center Ballrooms Seating
Guests are encouraged to arrive with their entire party as seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Holding or reserving seats will not be permitted. Guests who arrive separately may be seated apart, as saving seats or preventing others from occupying available seating is not allowed.
Guest Tickets
Students are required to collect their tickets from their respective Program Coordinator. Tickets are based on the number of registered participants attending the ceremony. Please note that newborns and infants do not require a ticket to attend; however, all other guests must have a ticket for entry into the auditorium. Should additional seating become available, students will be notified of any increase in ticket allotments through this webpage. Please be advised that, in compliance with Fire Marshal regulations, no one will be permitted entry to the WUC Ballroom without a valid guest ticket.
Parking
We encourage students to carpool with their guests to help minimize parking costs. Parking link will be available soon!
Strollers
We strongly encourage guests to leave strollers in their vehicles when possible. However, a designated stroller parking area will be available just outside the Theater for your convenience. Please note that valuables should not be left in strollers, as FIU NWCNHS is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
