Outcomes

Graduates of the FIU Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program are eligible to take the Praxis® Examination, which they must pass to apply for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

The FIU Communication Sciences & Disorders department reports on student progression and retention data for the three most recent academic years, as well as Praxis® exam pass rates for the past three testing cycles. First-Time Pass Rates indicate the percentage of students who pass the Praxis® exam on their first attempt, marking an important measure of program proficiency.
