The U.S. Department of Labor’s growth outlook for RN jobs by the year 2024 is more than double the growth rate for all occupations. It’s why many are considering a career – or a career change – in nursing. And it’s why FIU Nursing created the Accelerated Option Bachelor of Science in Nursing (AO BSN).
This program is uniquely designed for people who hold a bachelor’s degree in another field. The AO BSN is comprised of four (4) semesters of full-time coursework.
Students are admitted into the AO BSN program once a year in the fall semester and begins during the fall semester.
Classes for the AO BSN program are held at the Biscayne Bay (BBC) Campus.
Licensing Eligibility
Graduates of the program are eligible to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN) upon passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®) and can pursue graduate studies in nursing at the master’s and doctoral levels.
