Application Deadline

The following is the step-by-step application process for the BSN-PhD program.

Note: Transfer and international students must meet additional university requirements before proceeding with an application. Visit the Graduate Nursing Admissions page and FIU Graduate School website for details.

Step 1: Submit NursingCAS Application

• Complete an online application via NursingCAS – Centralized Application Service for the specialty program of your choice. Note that you may submit ONLY ONE NursingCAS application per admission cycle – and pay the appropriate fee to NursingCAS. (Please note the Application deadlines for each semester above)
• Complete the FIU Supplemental Application
• Send official transcripts from ALL SCHOOLS attended (all associate and bachelor’s degree coursework) to NursingCAS for upload and verification. EXCEPTION: Foreign transcripts, along with their official evaluations (grades, credits, and GPA in U.S. terms), should be sent directly to the college at the following address:

• Upload all required supplemental items including three (3) professional reference letters, professional CV, copy of an active Florida RN license, and personal statement to NursingCAS.

Step 2: Professional Interview

• Interviews will be scheduled by the PhD department.
• The FIU PhD Faculty Admissions Committee will conduct the interview in person or via zoom.
