The Diane Ramy Faulconer STAR Centers at Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) and Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) provide students and healthcare professionals with immersive, simulation-based learning in a safe environment before entering real-world clinical practice. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and advanced simulation technology, learners develop clinical decision-making, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills while caring for diverse patient populations.
Supported by the generous philanthropy of Diane Ramy Faulconer ’74, the STAR Centers advance healthcare education, research, and evidence-based practice while serving as nationally recognized centers of excellence. The facilities feature high-fidelity patient simulators, realistic acute care environments, and state-of-the-art clinical equipment. Fully accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in Teaching/Education, the STAR Centers are also an American Heart Association Heartsaver Training Center offering a variety of certification courses.
