About our Admissions and Program Policies

Florida International University and Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences policies, procedures, requirements and regulations are continually reviewed to serve the needs of the university/college’s publics and to respond to the mandates of the Florida Department of Education, Board of Governors, the Legislature, and other regulatory and accrediting agencies. Application Requirements:

Meet FIU general graduate admissions requirements.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits (upper division).
English Proficiency (if the degree is from an international university)
- iBT TOEFL: 80
- Paper TOEFL 550
- IELTS: 6.5
Submit a 1-2 page personal statement providing a brief statement of who you are, what your career goals are, why you are pursuing this degree, and how it will help you achieve your goals.
