Day of Nursing Pinning Ceremony Schedule & Instructions

Student Rehearsal & Ticket Distribution Day: Friday, December 6, 2024, at 10:00 am

Student Arrival: Student Check-In will open at 8:30 am.

Student Dress Code for Ceremony

The dress code for the ceremony is business attire with the NWCNHS lab coat over. For photography purposes please avoid floral, stripes, plaids or other designs. Dress shoes are required - no sneakers or sandals, and please be mindful of high-platform shoes being worn.

Please be advised, students who wish to participate in the Nursing Pinning Ceremony must wear a white FIU lab coat. No exceptions.

Sigma Theta Tau: During the program, the members of the Honor Society will be asked to stand for recognition. Members, please wear your purple and white cords for the ceremony.

Guest Parking: We encourage students to carpool with their guests to avoid paying for parking. Please reference the map below for parking locations. BBC Map: Please see the BBC map below noting the location of the Wolfe Center. Guests are encouraged to enter via the Bay Vista Boulevard entrance and park in Lot 1 for convenient access to the venue.

Strollers: We highly encourage that strollers be left in the vehicles. However, a designated area for stroller parking will be provided immediately outside the Theater. Please do not leave any valuables in the strollers, as FIU NWCNHS will not held responsible for any lost items.

All request for ADA accommodations or accessible materials for this event must be submitted to CRCA at least two weeks prior to the event or at the earliest possible opportunity.

Guest Tickets: 5 tickets per student

Ballroom Seating: Ballroom doors will open at 10:00 am. Guests are encouraged to arrive with their whole party as seating will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis. The "holding" of seats is not permitted. Each row must be filled entirely, and no empty seats will be allowed. Members of your party who arrive separately will be seated separately.

Start of Ceremony: The Nursing Pinning Ceremony will start promptly at 11:00 am with Processional. Guests that arrive at that time, or just before 11:00 am, will be asked to step aside, as the Processional takes place. Upon the conclusion of the Processional, your guests will be able to check-in and be seated in the Ballrooms.
