Admissions

Each FIU Health Services Administration program has its own set of admission and application requirements to ensure every student’s success. Please review the requirements for your specific HSA program of interest.

Admission Requirements

Students seeking admission into the upper division of the FIU Bachelor of Health Services Administration (BHSA) program must meet the following minimum requirements.

  1. Completed 60 hours of course work – OR – completed the Associate in Arts (AA) degree or its equivalent – at an accredited college or university.
  2. Satisfied the general University requirements for admission, including the University's Core Curriculum requirements.
  3. Met the University's lower division requirements.
  4. Complete the following BHSA prerequisite** courses as part of their 60 credit-hours of lower-division course work and achieve a minimum "C" required grade in any one course for the following required prerequisites:

    **NOTE: Applicants can be in the process of completing the prerequisites when applying to the program; however, all admitted students must complete all prerequisites before taking BHSA courses.

Transfer & International Students

Transfer and international students for all Health Services Administration programs must meet additional university requirements before proceeding with an application. Visit the FIU Undergraduate Admissions or FIU Graduate School website for details pertaining to your degree-level program.

For International Students

  • Official TOEFL/IELTS passing scores: must be provided if required. When requesting official scores, please refer to FIU Institution code 5206. TOEFL / IELTS scores are valid for two years.
  • Copy of diploma: an official copy may be requested in certain cases.
  • Official transcript translation: If official transcripts are not in English, a second copy of the transcript must be requested for translation by an official translation agency. Both the official translation, as well as the original transcripts, must be submitted to FIU.

Official transcripts/translations must be submitted directly by the respective institution(s) in electronic format or mailed in a sealed institution envelope to:
