FIU’s Bachelor of Health Services Administration (BHSA) program offers an optional 3-credit Administrative Internship Course every semester for interested students.

The HSA-4850 internship provides you with essential hands-on experience to apply the concepts and theories learned in the classroom to develop your management skills in a real workplace setting.

In addition to course credits, the internship is a resume-builder. You’ll get access to the practical work experience and networking opportunities that can lead to your first job in the industry.

Students must complete a total of 210 hours at the placement organization.  For eligibility requirements, clinical clearance information and application instructions, download:

Students are free to contact Professor Kellen Hassell, who serves as the Coordinator for Clinical Education and oversees the BHSA internship program. You may also contact Cristina Rodriguez who is the Academic Support Services Coordinator.
