FIU’s Global Initiative for Cannabinoid Research and Education members named to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Cannabis Task Force
May 2021 – The National Athletic Trainers’ Association approved a 12-person task force to create resources to address the demand for information related to cannabis as it pertains to the patient population treated by athletic trainers. Two members of FIU’s Global Initiative for Cannabinoid Research and Education will serve on the task force, including Kevin Morley, and Dr. Jeff Konin who has been named to chair the group. Additionally, Tiffany Morton, an assistant athletic trainer with the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club and an alumnus of FIU’s athletic training program, has also been named to the task force.
