- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, FEP-BSN/MSN Option Accelerated Combined BSN/MSN Track for Foreign-Educated Physicians (FEP)
In 2010, the FEP-to-BSN transitioned into the FEP BSN/MSN as a way to fast-track students in pursuit of their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. The new accelerated curriculum allows students to obtain their MSN degree in an expedited manner. The two MSN tracks available are the MSN Nurse Practitioner (offering 4 specialty areas) or the MSN Nurse Educator.

FIU's post-baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences is designed specifically for applicants with a bachelor's degree in a major outside of the field. The program prepares students to support speech-language pathology professionals through comprehensive practical and classroom experience. Students learn about disorders and treatments, communication devices, and working with people with verbal impairments.

The FIU Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) program focuses on the business management side of the healthcare industry, preparing our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement changes across healthcare organizations. Our curriculum focuses on the non-clinical side of healthcare including, human resources, health information technology, financial management, marketing, leadership, and operational management. The Master of Science in Athletic Training curriculum is grounded in hands- on, learner-centered education and evidence-based practice to equip students with the clinical and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem solving and ethical reasoning abilities required to be successful in the profession. This intensive, hands-on program equips students with the tools, knowledge, and skills to promote health, wellness, and functional independence throughout the life span. The Adult-Gero, Family, Pediatric, and Psych-MH Post-Grad Certificate graduates at FIU are prepared for leadership roles and direct care of patients in a variety of settings including ambulatory clinics, private offices, emergency, urgent care centers, and home care settings.
Program graduates are prepared to diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests; order therapeutic interventions and medications; and educate clients. Graduates qualify to sit for the national certification examination in their area of specialty.

- Dual Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator Certificate
This clinical specialty program focuses on advanced nursing practice of individuals, families and communities with psychiatric and/or mental health programs in primary, secondary and tertiary care settings. Practice sites include community mental health centers, psychiatric clinics, crisis intervention centers, psychiatric hospital units, correctional health and private offices of psychiatrists and/or PMHN nurse practitioners. By dually earning a Nursing Educator Certificate graduates will also be prepared to function in a variety of educational settings including schools of nursing and health care facilities. They are qualified to sit for the Nurse Practitioner national certification exam in their specialty and the NLN National Nurse Educator Certification.

It is a challenging and rewarding academic and clinical undertaking consisting of 36 months, nine (9) semester continuous program of full-time graduate study.

Approved by the Florida Board of Governors in 2003. The program's purpose is to develop individuals who will be leaders, researchers and educators in generating and applying the science needed to guide the future of nursing practice, education and research. The BSN to DNP at FIU provides students the opportunity to obtain both degrees in a streamlined manner. Its curriculum awards the MSN degree after semester six, allowing the students to sit for Advanced Practice Nursing national certification at the MSN level and continue enrollment into the doctoral preparation. The program is offered to baccalaureate prepared nursing candidates only.
