How to Apply

Only applications marked complete by the application deadline of April 1st will be reviewed and considered.

Specific instructions accompany the NursingCAS DNP Anesthesia Program Application. These instructions MUST be followed carefully to have the application processed correctly.

Please note that you must (1) complete the NursingCAS application AND (2) the FIU Graduate Admissions Supplemental Application.

Application materials will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee to identify candidates who will advance to the next stage and be invited to attend an Information & Interview session. The Admissions Committee will make the final determination for acceptance into the program after the interview.

Steps to Apply for DNP-NA

Step 1: Submit NursingCAS Application
- Complete an online application via NursingCAS– Centralized Application Service for Nursing Programs – and pay the appropriate fee to NursingCAS. (Application deadline: April 1st).
- Send official transcripts from ALL SCHOOLS attended to NursingCAS for upload and verification.
- Upload all required supplemental items including three (3) professional reference letters, professional CV, copy of an active Florida RN license, and personal statement to NursingCAS.

Professional Interview

The applicant has a right to expect:

To be considered for admission without regard to race, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital or familial status, disability, or national origin.
Accurate information regarding the application process for the program, the admission criteria, an outline of the curriculum, as well as full disclosure of time commitment, costs, tuition, fees, accreditation status and affiliating agencies/institutions.
A fair and unbiased review and consideration of their application as outlined in the recruiting brochure.

Responsibilities of the applicant:

To submit a complete, truthful and timely application, which includes all required documentation.
To appear before the Admissions Committee of the Program for a personal interview if selected.
To provide any additional or supplemental documentation and/or references as requested by the Admissions Committee.
To be prepared financially to enter a full-time educational program.

Note for Foreign-Educated Physicians

We frequently receive inquiries from physicians trained in another country and not practicing in the U.S. about enrolling in the FIU Nurse Anesthetist program. Because Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure requires having an RN license, physician applicants do not qualify.
