Poster Presentation
The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences (NWCNHS) Doctoral Nursing Department and Doctoral Nursing students would like to invite doctoral students, postdocs, faculty, post-graduates within 1 year, graduate and undergraduate healthcare and other students across the university to the Colloquium scheduled for April 3, 2025 @ 9:00 am – 12 pm (Noon) in GC Ballroom B and GC 243 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
We invite you to submit an abstract to present a poster demonstrating excellence in practice, education, research, or professional development in alignment with the Colloquium goals:
Goals of the colloquium are to:
- Develop the next generation of nurse scientists through enhanced networking and mentoring with outstanding scholars in health care, research, and ethics.
- Advance the science in recruiting diverse populations to increase our understanding of risk factors associated with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and cognitive impairment in older adults.
- Advance the science to address gaps in communication between the patient and healthcare professionals to improve the quality of prenatal, obstetric, and postpartum care for Black women and their infants/children in South Florida and to foster equity in health care for Black mothers.
- Enhance innovation in science and clinical practice through extensive outcome-based, theory driven, culturally competent interventions, and ethically appropriate services to reduce or eliminate health disparities.

You can click here to download the suggested Colloquium poster template. Feel free to add a background, move boxes around and make changes for your poster; suggested template size is 36 inches x 48 inches. We use a foam core board that measures 48” x 36” and clips to mount posters securely. Beneath the title, have the name(s) of the student author(s), faculty adviser and school or institution.
