Undergraduate Nursing

The FIU Undergraduate Nursing unit of the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences provides innovative and practical solutions to the critical nursing shortage while addressing the changing dynamics of our country’s population and healthcare system.

FIU Nursing’s various Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs push the boundaries of nursing education in and out of the classroom so our graduates practice and thrive in today’s increasingly complex, technological healthcare environment.

Our BSN programs combine traditional classroom work with web-enhanced instruction, the proficient use of technologies, quality simulation education and learning through service to the community. You’ll be well ahead of the learning curve and making an immediate impact as soon as you start your nursing career.

Degrees & Programs

A BSN degree is the foundation for every nursing professional and the catalyst to progress your career from caregiver to manager to unit leader and beyond. FIU Undergraduate Nursing offers three (3) distinct tracks to obtain your nursing bachelor’s degree.

Graduates of an FIU BSN program are eligible to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN) upon passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®).  Our graduates are thoroughly prepared to advance their study of nursing at the graduate and doctorate levels.
