How To Apply

The application process is the same for the traditional PhD in Nursing and Health Sciences and BSN-to-PhD in Nursing and Health Sciences programs at Florida International University.

• Complete an online application via NursingCAS – Centralized Application Service https://nursingcas.liaisoncas.org/apply/  for the admission semester of your choice and pay the appropriate fee to NursingCAS. 
• Complete FIU application. You will need your NursingCAS ID number to proceed with the FIU application.
• Upload official transcripts from ALL SCHOOLS attended (all associate and bachelor’s degree coursework) to NursingCAS for upload and verification. EXCEPTION: Graduates with foreign BSN credentials must submit a Professional Transcript Evaluation with U.S. Equivalent Grades, Credits & GPA from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services via NursingCAS.
• Upload all required supplemental items including three (3) professional reference letters, professional CV, copy of an active Florida RN license, and personal statement to NursingCAS.
• The application file must be complete prior to UGS deadlines before the College’s Doctoral Program Committee will consider the applicant for admission.
