Angelica Aguirre

I heard a lot of good reviews from classmates who went to the program at FIU Nursing. It was convenient and close to my house. I met some of the teachers prior and liked the program. I loved my preceptor, Maria De Los Santos. Professor Gordon was an inspiration as well. They helped me grow in my career and develop a lot of skills I'm using now. Outside of the regular classwork, I liked working on research. We researched AIDS and targeted students for education regarding HIV, AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases. I worked with Dr. Chadwell. The education helped me tremendously to do what I'm doing now. I feel comfortable with what I learned and have been able to practice. I've put 12 years into nursing.
