Annie B. Brown

BSN '75

When I was a little girl, there was a lady who walked by my house every day. She wore a white uniform and a white cap, and I thought she was so pretty. I told my mom that I was going to be just like that lady - I was going to be a nurse. FIU was always a pleasant place for me, and I enjoyed it. The people and the teachers at FIU Nursing were nice. I've done many things in nursing, and if I hadn't gone to FIU to get my BSN, I wouldn't have been able to do those things. I worked as a nursing home director, and I taught nursing. It's been a joy to live out my childhood dream.
