I chose to go to FIU because the pricing was affordable compared to some other colleges. I have been a nurse since 1987 and wanted to continue what I was doing back then. I already had my associate's degree, and FIU was available. I went to a satellite campus that was easy for me to access. I loved Dr. Blais and her mannerisms. She was very inspirational and gave us a lot of great tips on how to write out papers and do our research. We did a lot of group projects where we worked with other nurses. Another fond memory I have is of visiting a South American village with one of my other professors and learning about their different medicinal techniques. I believe that FIU prepared me well for the professional nursing world. I'm grateful that FIU offered a program that was flexible for working nurses.
