I liked how close FIU Nursing was to home. There were two campuses, so it provided me with some flexibility to go between campuses. When I was working on my bachelor's degree, I was always drawn to nursing. I wanted to take care of people. I had family members who were nurses, so I followed them into the profession. I completed my licensed practical nursing degree in high school, so I was motivated to continue my education as a nurse. I appreciated the campus life, the communities, and the friends I developed through my nursing courses. FIU Nursing was the springboard for me to continue and engage in different experiences. I'm a midwife in women's health and continued my education after FIU Nursing. I've worked with cerebral palsy patients and drug addicts in group homes. I appreciated the time that it took to graduate from FIU Nursing.
