I had graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing, and I was already a nurse. I wanted to get a degree, and I went to FIU to get my bachelor's degree. I then got a master's in adult education there and taught nursing. When I went there, I had a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, and it was not easy to be a mother and go to school full-time. I liked the people at FIU, and it was a good educational process. It was challenging, but I liked the challenge. It made me a better person and a better nurse, and it opened up the field of nursing. I went to Miami Baptist, and I worked on the GYN floor. FIU was a wonderful experience.
