I chose the Florida International University College of Nursing because it created an amazing program for physicians to become nurse practitioners. I had great preceptors and teachers at FIU, and those people made my days as a student really enjoyable. The director at the time was amazing. I've practiced as an internal medicine doctor for more than 50 years, and I love to serve the community and take care of my patients. I became more conscious of exactly what nurses do and exactly what patients need because of my time at FIU Nursing.
