Proximity inspired me to attend FIU Nursing. I did not live very far from campus and always enjoyed taking care of people. I was the oldest of five girls and had always been a caretaker. I wanted to be in a profession that would allow me to continue with that passion. I went to FIU Nursing with an associate's degree in nursing and was looking to get a higher degree. I felt very supported by the school, especially by the clinical instructors. Dr. Delpeche impacted me the most. FIU Nursing had a strong Clinical Lab Program to help new students and experienced nurses practice their skills. My master's degree helped me to move into an administrative position and pursue my doctorate. I learned to navigate higher-nursing positions at FIU Nursing. I enjoyed the interaction that I shared with other students on campus, and I found support from the faculty and staff.
