My training as a medical professional directly led me to FIU's College of Nursing. They helped me easily facilitate my transition from a medical background to a nursing background, The compassion and communication I learned at FIU was amazing. I learned to translate my academic knowledge into the field so that I could better comfort my patients. I experienced a lot of diversity on FIU's campus, and I developed social and professional relationships from people across the world. The didactic and clinical education I received at FIU's College of Nursing has helped me immensely throughout my career. It led me to open Eastwest Integrated Care Clinic with my wife. My main goal is to increase the awareness of mental health in the adolescent demographic, since it's a field underserved here in the Southwest.
