Ivette N. Roldan (Nieves)

BSN '90

I became a nurse in 1986 at a diploma school. I got my associate's degree, and I wanted to continue growing. I decided to get my bachelor's degree at FIU. It was perfect for my schedule, and I could take my classes in the evenings. My instructors were very knowledgeable, and they made my learning experience very pleasant. I have been teaching there because I believe in FIUs mission and goals. I learned what nursing is about, and I understood the importance of having evidence-based research. I enjoy the team that I work with there. I met with the dean, and the staff was always willing to meet with us to answer our questions.
