I attended FIU Nursing because everything just fell into place. I missed my hometown of Miami, and FIU Nursing just seemed like the right answer. I got into nursing because I've always loved being the caretaker of my family and friends - in any situation, I liked to be the first responder. Nursing was a no-brainer when I was looking for a major change. I loved to see the stories of the families and to get to know the people who I work with. I never forgot the endless days of studying and our late nights together. I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without them because they made the time there fun - my experience was unforgettable. FIU Nursing definitely taught me how to be a leader. It helped me not only assume the role of being a caretaker but also to know how to work with others. Thanks to FIU Nursing, I was able to step into a leadership position and figure out solutions with my team.
