Jorge A. Delgado, DNP, MSN, CNE
I went to FIU to complete my MSN and NP. I also did a post-master's degree program in nursing education, and I had a good time during my MSN. I didn't spend that much time at school because I was working. FIU Nursing opened doors for me, and I went on to the University of Alabama to earn my DNP. I teach part-time for Duke University School of Nursing and work for the university as a vascular-nurse practitioner. I also chair administration duties for all of the surgical MPs. FIU Nursing was a step stone for my future career. Dr. Deana Goldin had a major impact on me. She was my professor and became my friend. I kept in touch with her after graduation. I valued the friendships that I formed at FIU Nursing with my professors. The relationships that I built with the faculty and staff were very important during my time in the program.
