I got to make a lot of lifelong friends at FIU Nursing, and I still keep in contact with some of them. I enjoyed the curriculum while I was at FIU. I enjoyed the Simulation Center as well because it helped me with practicing patient care, and I had good instructors, who helped guide my critical thinking. My favorite course was my practicum course because it helped me be at the bedside with patients in a more involved role. It was the first time I started to really get all of the information I learned together and apply that to patient care. I got a lot of exposure to different specialties while I was at FIU. I got a sense of what it is that I liked and didn't like. By the time I got out of school, I had a general idea of what patients I wanted to dedicate my career to. In my case, I wanted to dedicate my career to the more acutely ill patients. Overall, FIU Nursing prepared me well for real nursing, and it was a good experience.
