I was the concierge at the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables, Florida, for a few months while I attended FIU Nursing. I was 18 years old, so it was a fun job. I learned to deal with people. I've always known what I wanted to be. My mother was a nurse midwife, and I watched her put on her uniform and go to work. She was my inspiration. One of my favorite courses was Pharmacology. I went on to teach the subject once I finished graduate school. I also liked to the semester of pediatrics and OB that I took at FIU Nursing. My career path paralleled my scholastic experience. I've always loved women's health because I'd been around it all of my life. I also love patient care, and now I am able to grow old with my patients since starting a private practice. I treat my patients like family. It is an honor to care for them, and I am my best self when I am in front of them. I learned how to care for patients of all different cultures at FIU Nursing. It was one of the most important lessons that I learned during my time in school. I was very happy to attend FIU, and it prepared me for my professional career. It was a blessing to have attended college in my hometown of Miami. I am just a little pebble in the water that hopes to continue to create big waves. I love my career in women's health and care for my patients from their first-gynecological encounters to menopause. It is something that I take great pride in.
