It was close to where I lived. I also heard good things about FIU Nursing, so I chose to go there. I had always wanted to pursue a career in nursing. Wanting to be in the healthcare arena, to me, was one way I can help. Networking with students, the professors, the actual experiences of learning, and people teaching you things helped me. The weight impacted me. It made me more solid in my convictions to help and reach out to people and help in the clinical nursing areas. I was the person who got along with all of them and had good experiences with them. The students I had and the camaraderie lent themselves to the learning experience. That's what stood out to me. There was a professor, Dr. Lizardo, who I remembered quite well who was very nice and accommodating.
