Who inspired me to go was a coworker who was also an FIU student. Even though I had very little time to spend between school and work, she encouraged me so much that I ended up doing not only a bachelor's degree but also a master's degree. I always wanted to finish a bachelor's degree and a more advanced degree - it was just a matter of time. I had to work full-time to support my kids and myself, so the availability of the different hours and classes was perfect for me. Getting the education I always wanted to have made me grow up. I was also an example to my little kids. I was grateful that I was able to advance my career as a registered nurse and be like a doctor as a registered advanced nurse practitioner.
