Maria Elena Nasiff, DNP

BSN '16; MSN '19; DNP '20

A few years ago, I decided to go back to school and start a journey to become a doctor nurse practitioner. I was a pharmacy tech for some time and had two small children, so it was very scary. However, my desire to help patients and be part of the healthcare field that I had always dreamed of kept me firm on my decision. The journey was hard and long, but I have to say that all the hard work was totally worth it. Finally, the dream became a reality in the year 2020. I graduated as a DNP from one of the best institutions - the Florida International University College of Nursing. Thanks to my family's support, I kept strong. I can now proudly say that I am a doctor nurse practitioner.
