Marina D. Andrewin-Staine

I'm an immigrant, and I came from the University of the West Indies. I came to FIU's College of Nursing to complete my nursing education. I went on to become a nurse practitioner after getting my master's degree. I was a widow and single parent while studying at FIU, and everyone was very friendly. My professors were very approachable, and it felt good to have a place where I felt accepted. Dr. Divina Grossman was fantastic, and she made a great effort to know me personally.
