I went to Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, and I graduated from there. Not too many places were willing to accept my degree at the time, but FIU was. On top of that, the degree was online. That gave me flexibility because I had just given birth to twin boys. I had looked into a school that a lot of my nursing colleagues had gone to, and it was ridiculously expensive. FIU was more reasonable. We could do it online, and we could do it at our own pace. Then COVID-19 ended up happening. I started at FIU back in 2015 because there were a couple of classes that I was missing, like the nutrition and microbiology labs. What took me a little bit longer was the fact that I had the boys. I didn't rush getting my degree. It should have taken me a year, but I took my time. There was a period when I didn't go as well. That was my journey. I had some good instructors. Online could be a little bit unfamiliar, but they made it very easy. Communicating with the professors was easy. They answered emails in a timely manner, and they were all very helpful. I didn't have any complaints. The courses were doable, and the syllabi were doable. There was no pressure.
