I decided to go to FIU because I heard great things about it, and the pass rate for the NCLEX was pretty high at the time. I also heard that FIU was the name you wanted on your degree when you were applying for jobs at a hospital. FIU made room for me to make a bunch of connections among my fellow students; I made long-lasting friendships there. Together, through helping one another, we were able to pass the program. I worked at the FIU STAR Center, and many of my classmates did too. The moment that made me smile the most while I was there was the first time they told me my practicum dates because I had gotten the site I wanted to go to. I'm currently at FIU pursuing a degree in nurse anesthesia in the graduate program. From FIU, I learned that if I strive for excellence, I'll succeed. I would advise future FIU students to try to make connections while there. Everyone wants to help one another to succeed. It's a group effort.
