I appreciated how military-friendly FIU Nursing was, and that the Nursing Program took into consideration my training from the military as a medic. I was able to receive my degree in a timely manner and get to work. I appreciated how FIU Nursing provided nursing professors who were associated with the military in some way or fashion. Having people who understood our transition back into the civilian world made the transition from military medic to nurse easy. I appreciated the patience and understanding that I was able to develop there at FIU Nursing. After I graduated, I was able to get a job straight away.
