I started my undergrad at FIU, and I had a positive-learning experience. FIU Nursing was very selective. The curriculum seemed interesting and challenging. I felt like I was in the right place and still feel the same way. I hope to continue my graduate education at FIU. I wanted to help people and really liked the sciences. I combined the two and also wanted to further my knowledge in health sciences. Nursing seemed like the right field for me. I shadowed in different hospitals like the VA and Cleveland Clinic, where I received great learning experiences. I was a part of the Spinal Cord Unit, which was a pretty interesting unit to start off in. My professors at FIU Nursing were all knowledgeable and helpful. They were also very easy to reach and encouraged me whenever I had any questions. I am most grateful for the connections that I made along the way. I met a lot of good friends at FIU who I highly regard and still speak to today. They motivated me to be a better version of myself, and I like to think that I did the same for them. I work with one of my classmates from FIU Nursing. He actually helped me get an interview for my current position at work.
